YK69 TAS

YK69 TAS is yet another taxi stored in Hollingdean by a non-resident, contributing to the growing issue of commercial vehicles using the area as a free parking site.
Just as many non-residents treat Hollingdean as a storage yard for their oversized work vans, taxi drivers have increasingly begun using it to store their taxis overnight and between shifts. YK69 TAS is just one such example, regularly parked here despite its owner having real connection to the area.
Residents believe the driver lives just up the road from Hollingdean, outside of the free parking zone. Rather than securing a permit for their own vehicle, on their own street, they instead leave their vehicle here, trying to park it as close to their home as possible. This inevitably means it ends up in the most congested part of Hollingdean - right up against Fiveways - where parking is already extremely limited for actual residents.
The sheer number of taxis and work vehicles being stored in Hollingdean only exacerbates the parking crisis, forcing locals to compete for spaces that should not be taken up by non-resident commercial vehicles in the first place.
