Hollingdean Parking

DU12 XFD

Silver Vauxhall Meriva

  • DU12 XFD is yet another student-owned vehicle dumped in Hollingdean to avoid the cost of a permit for the controlled parking zone where the owner actually lives.

  • This tatty silver Vauxhall sits unmoved for weeks at a time, taking up valuable space that should be available for residents who live in the area. Rather than parking outside their own home, the owner has opted to displace their vehicle into Hollingdean, contributing to the already severe parking congestion. It is always left as close as the driver is able to their home on Hollingbury Road, adding to an already very congested corner of Hollingdean, up against Fiveways.

  • To make matters worse, when the vehicle is moved, it is frequently left badly parked, causing additional issues for residents trying to navigate the already overcrowded streets. Reports describe it being positioned awkwardly, overhanging driveways, or blocking access points, further frustrating those who live here.

  • This silver Vauxhall is yet another example of how Hollingdean continues to be treated as a dumping ground for vehicles from controlled parking zones, leaving actual residents with fewer and fewer places to park near their own homes.
